Howden Knedlington corner fountain,
From the Goole Times of Friday, May 10th, 1901
A handsome memorial has recently been erected to the memory of Mr T.S. Clarke of Knedlington Manor. It is in the form of a
neat, artistic drinking fountain. It stands nearly opposite the front gate of the manor. It is emblazoned with the family coat of arms and the motto "The time will come". An invitation to drink is given in these words: "Drink weary traveller and give also to thy cattle."
Underneath the coat of arms and motto is the
inscription: "In loving memory of Thomas Sinclair Clarke of Knedlington Manor."
